Army White Paper - Army Force Structure Transformation
The U.S. Army announced today changes to its force structure that will modernize and continue to transform the service to better face future threats. Under the plan, the Army will reorganize over the next decade to ensure it can deliver trained, cohesive and lethal forces to meet future challenges in increasingly complex operational environments.
Army Combat Trauma Care in 2035: A Workshop

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, under the auspices of the Board on Army Research and Development, convened a workshop of leading military, researchers, medical, and intelligence professionals on November 18, 2019, to examine the future of Army combat trauma care and emerging medical advancements that could improve soldier survivability in high-intensity conflicts in 2035. Specifically, the workshop participants explored and discussed how bioengineering can return soldiers to the fight more quickly; areas of Army tactical combat care that can be improved now; and future related threats, risks, and status of preparedness. This publication highlights the presentation and discussion of the workshop.
