PLATFORM PUBLICATION - Plattform Industrie 4.0 and its partners present a vision that shows what Industry 4.0 should look like in 2030. Autonomy, Interoperability and Sustainability are the guidelines for the digital ecosystems of the future. The progress report shows milestones on the way.

Experts from Plattform Industrie 4.0 have jointly developed a 2030 vision for Industrie 4.0. Because Industrie 4.0 is more than just a business or technology topic. It secures our competitiveness through complex, digital business models in flexible and globally networked value creation systems. Moreover, it is indispensable if we as a society in Germany, Europe and the world want to increase our quality of life through digital transformation. The three pillars of the vision "Autonomy, Interoperability and Sustainability" are a contribution to the discussion. From this dialogue we would like to learn how we can jointly shape global digital ecosystems.

This progress report shows what Plattform Industrie 4.0 has already achieved today in shaping digital ecosystems of the future and what we still want to achieve: Last year we intensified our many cooperations and established new ones, as the interest in partnerships and exchange continues. International cooperation shows that we can only tackle the challenges of Industrie 4.0 together. For example, we have come a long way in the challenge of standardization. We are presenting the success of the implementation of the administration shell. In addition, our experts have formulated pioneering approaches to key challenges in IT security, education and training, research, business models and law. These approaches aim particularly at SMEs. In the Transfer Network Industrie 4.0, more and more partners are supporting them with their know-how.
