With the referendum on whether the UK should remain in or leave the EU fast approaching, it is important that businesses and individuals should have an informed view on the potential economic implications of alternative outcomes of the vote so that they can plan accordingly.

This study, commissioned by the CBI, sets out a detailed analysis of the longer-term economic impacts of UK exit for trade, migration, regulation and our fiscal position, and the long-term implications of these changes for UK economic growth, jobs and investment. We also considered the possible shorter term economic impacts of increased uncertainty following a possible vote to leave EU.
