On October 3, 2016, the IoT Acceleration Consortium (ITAC) concluded memorandums of understanding (MOU) for IoT cooperation

respectively with the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) and with OpenFog Consortium, the United States. Japan will accelerate activity toward

the realization of the fourth industrial revolution through advancing these efforts in the field of IoT.

IoT Acceleration Consortium (ITAC) and Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) are desirous of working together to contribute to the creation and development of Internet of Things (IoT) industries. Overarching goal of this cooperation is to promote the digital economy by preventing fragmentation and harmonizing various aspects in the fields of IoT.
